To Jerod Starkey music is a career, a passion, a talent and a dream. Post 27 was started to encompass all the purposes of music in one place and for Jerod and his wife, Elaine, to have a business where music can be shared with others. For years, they have followed after many dreams to find that one thing that allows Jerod to be the artist and teacher that he is. Now settled in Dallas, Texas, working on his first solo album, writing songs for the album and others, all the while getting to pour out into the lives of students desiring to learn music, they have found it.
The details of Jerod's formal training and experience range from classical study with a Bachelor's Degree in Voice at Baylor University to garage band song writing with best friends in high school. Following graduation Jerod sang and traveled with a contemporary Christian group called Sign of Jonah, where he had the opportunity to open for Michael W. Smith and Avalon. Since moving back to Dallas, Jerod has been teaching piano and voice to students of all ages all over the metroplex.
